Travis Scott and his Cactus Jack Foundation, in conjunction with Project H.E.A.L., will host a star-studded Home Run Derby to kick off the third annual Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic on Feb. 13, 2025, at Daikin Park — home of the Houston Astros.
The Home Run Derby will take place at 7 p.m. and will feature baseball legends Manny Ramirez, Robinson Canó, Prince Fielder, and Ryan Howard.
The Celebrity Softball Classic will take place at 7:30 p.m., right after the Home Run Derby concludes, and will feature an all-star lineup of legendary athletes and A-list entertainers who will participate in a six-inning charity softball game.

Last year, C.J. Stroud took home the MVP Award from the classic and Robinson Canó beat Jose Canseco to win the Home Run Derby. For the third consecutive year, the Cactus Jack Foundation and the Webster Family, in partnership with NAACP Houston, will host an HBCU Student Scholar Ceremony in honor of Scott’s late grandfather Waymon Webster and his family’s multigeneration HBCU lineage.
Guests will be able to knab exclusive Cactus Jack merchandise, giveaways, autographed memorabilia, prizes, and raffles. They’ll also be able to experience the Second Annual Cactus Jack Social Impact Village located on the main concourse, an interactive hub hosting over 20 community and civic organizations, offering on-site resources for event guests. Additionally, the village will include a silent auction with one-of-a-kind music and sports memorabilia.
“This event supports Scott’s longstanding commitment to providing scholarship opportunities for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). It is a cause that is important to Scott given his family’s longtime legacy studying, working at and supporting HBCUs,” a news release stated.
Ticket proceeds will benefit the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to HBCU seniors for final tuition fees and allows those students to graduate and receive their college diplomas on time.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with the Home Run Derby set for 7 p.m. and the Celebrity Softball Classic will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The three-day in-stadium event will kick off with a Cactus Jack Foundation Community Action Week, beginning Tuesday, February 11. The week will feature community-based events throughout the city of Houston, including a pop-up lab at Cact.Us Design Center and the first-ever Cactus Jack Foundation and Houston Astros Foundation Youth Clinic at the Astros Youth Academy.
