SCRUBS TO THE RESCUE

2021 PARTNERSHIPS

In 2019, like-minded women came together with a passion to fundamentally change the trajectory of the medical apparel retail market by leveraging a more nontraditional shopping model that would anchor on providing added value, convenience, and a great customer experience. It all started with a discussion of their hopes and dreams one rainy day in the hospital cafeteria where they worked. Who knew that a discussion of their dreams would turn into a successful company, Scrubs To The Rescue. Their varied backgrounds and skill sets help to make their team dynamic work well.

Born in the windy city of Chicago, Tennille Johnson came to Houston to attend Texas Southern University in 1995. She graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy and has worked as a pharmacist for over 16 years. She prides herself on being a lifelong learner and community activist. She is a proud and active member of the esteemed Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Fort Bend Alumni Chapter. Tennille also has been a part of numerous community and professional organizations including the Houston Area Urban League and the Texas Pharmacy Association. As the CEO of Scrubs To The Rescue, she has a vision and desire to give back to her own community of healthcare professionals. A medical professional, natural born leader, and lover of fashion, Tennille wants Scrubs To The Rescue to be known worldwide for providing trendy, fashion forward medical uniforms.

Keosha Austin hails from Arkansas and relocated to Houston in 2015. She attended Arkansas State University. Keosha has held many leadership roles in product procurement and supply chain management. As Scrubs To The Rescue’s uniform fashion expert, she provides guidance on all of their product line selections.

Natishia Holly grew up on the Northside of Houston, Texas.  She attended Booker T. Washington High School.   Her career in healthcare began in 2001, and she has held many leadership roles in medical information management.  A natural gift and ability connecting with people, she continues to foster this talent for advancement in her personal and professional life. She is a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she is active in ministry work.  Natishia’s combination of experience and spirit of service enable her to successfully manage Scrubs To The Rescue’s resources and customer service department.  Scrubs To The Rescue is run by these influential female leaders with over 20 years of combined experience in the healthcare industry. They use their own skills as healthcare professionals to bring expert knowledge, innovation, technology, and the most desired products and services to meet the needs of busy healthcare professionals, like doctors, nurses, and other medical support staff. Studies show that when you look good, you feel good and are more productive at work. The business ultimately helps medical professionals and all professionals requiring scrubs to look and feel their best while at work in their demanding careers. They want to be a part of empowering these professionals with chic and quality attire, adding value to an industry that takes pride in serving others. Scrubs To The Rescue is widely recognized and was the proud recipient of the Houston Area Urban League Small Business University 2019 Pitch Competition. As pillars of the community, they see it as their duty to serve, having donated over 200 scrub sets to the homeless. With a mindset of success and service, they look forward to being a partner in more community initiatives, also expanding the company’s brand and product line.
