Candess Tucker and Dominique Hamilton are the co-founders of JMA, a non-profit dedicated to providing quality swim instruction and competitive training. Founded in 2022, JMA, which was recently honored at the Top 50 Black Professionals & Entrepreneurs of Texas Awards Gala, was inspired by Hall of Fame swim coach Johnnie Means. Recognizing a lack of affordable aquatics programs, they created a model that offers Learn to Swim and competitive programming at a 70% discount to Houston-area families. Through sponsorships and fundraising, they have impacted over 500 children, equipping them with essential water safety skills and a love for swimming.

Together, Candess and Dominique are transforming aquatics, ensuring children from underrepresented communities have access to training, mentorship, and opportunities to succeed in and beyond the water.
