2021 COMMUNITY HERO

Displaying her unwavering faith in God, partnered with her incredible sense of style and fashion has been the key to RoseMary Tucker’s success as a black, female entrepreneur.

RoseMary is the founder and owner of Blessties USA, a Christian apparel and accessories boutique in Cypress, Texas.  She opened Blessties USA in 2015 and has been spreading her love for Jesus Christ by designing spiritual t-shirts and hoodies. Each design she creates has a story of encouragement, love, and positive thinking. You can find a wide-range of fashion items in her store, from tees to jumpsuits to a wide array of face masks and much more.

After being successfully open for six years, RoseMary has showcased other black, women-owned brands that are in alignment with her mission of spreading love and positivity. While browsing through Blessties USA, you can also purchase items from other brands. Tucker is definitely one who believes in the power of connecting and collaborating with others.

Prior to starting Blessties USA, she attended school at St. Phillips College in San Antonio, where she obtained a degree in nursing. After deciding she wanted to pursue a different career path, she relocated to Houston in 1995 and began working for Down Low Promotions. Here, she was able to work with some of the biggest stars including Patti LaBelle, Cedric the Entertainer, Bernie Mac, D.L. Hughley, and several others. RoseMary eventually went on to start her own promotion company called Tucker Entertainment.

After leaving the promotions business, RoseMary worked for d-mars.com for some time before transitioning into a career in real estate, which she stayed in for almost 20 years.  While her top motivation for all she does is God, she also works hard for and finds inspiration in her four amazing children, Darion, Dyanna, Adrian, and Adian.

In addition to Blessties USA, she also owns and operates several other clothing lines. One of those is called “I Am Bullied,” which is a line she started for her son who was being bullied at school. This is an anti-bullying line that promotes the idea of replacing hate and hurt with the message: BEAUTIFUL. UNIQUE. LIMITLESS. LOVING. INTELLIGENT. EDUCATED. DETERMINED.

RoseMary’s athletic clothing line for men and women is called SWOLLE (Strength, Wisdom, Overcomer, Loyal, Loving, Empowering) Athletic Wear.

In 2019, she founded HOODIES4HEALING, a 501c3 organization that is dedicated to selling hoodies and other Christian apparel to help others. HOODIES4HEALING was spawned from her daughter, Dyanna, who developed a cyst in her brain that needed immediate surgery. RoseMary raised over $60k by selling hoodies and afterwards “made a promise to God that after her daughter’s successful surgery, she would spend her time helping others in need continuously.” From the HOODIES4HEALING foundation she has built a brand that continuously aims to help those in need and “pay it forward.”

On any given Sunday, you will find her feeding the homeless in downtown Houston. Blessties USA and the HOODIES4HEALINGfoundation hosted a blanket drive for the homeless in January 2021 and in December 2020, gave away 200 hoodies to the homeless.

RoseMary is currently raising funds to help the homeless with her new HOODIES4HOMELESS initiative, selling hoodies through www.hoodies4healing.com, where the proceeds of every hoodie sold will be used to serve the homeless.

Due to the current political and racial climate occurring in the United States, she will continue promoting positivity through her tees and aims to “lift someone’s spirit” by doing so.  Her advice to other women entrepreneurs is what she calls the 4Ps: to “be patient, prayerful, positive and professional” at all times. She also advises women to “never give up on yourself because no one else will support you like you can.”
