Apostle Dr. Dana Carson, a well-known pastor here in Houston, is the Founder and Senior Leader of The R.O.C.K. World Outreach Intl., located in the historic Park Place Baptist Church on Broadway near Hobby Airport. Yet, few know the depth and width of this polymath’s 40 years of service to God and humanity.
Dr. Dana Carson’s journey is a testament to gritty resilience, untapped brilliance, and unshakable faith. Born to former Mississippi sharecroppers and raised on the south side of Chicago, Dr. Carson overcame immense odds. An All-City basketball star turned high school dropout, he defied expectations by becoming an HBCU graduate and member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He ultimately earned seven more college degrees from the University of Houston, Duke, and Boston Universities, including MIT, Kellogg, Harvard, Northwestern, and Columbia certifications.
Bestowed with the National Fivefold Ministry Award, Dr. Carson was named one of the world’s Top 50 Black Pentecostal Scholars and served as the Scholar in State for the Joint College of Bishops. As an entrepreneur, Dr. Carson has established almost 50 business initiatives in his lifetime. A devoted husband, father of five, and grandfather, Dr. Carson has shared his wisdom with diverse audiences. From mentoring his Young Prophets and Ministers and Daughters of Destiny to preaching to thousands at Austin’s Y2K Conference, he is not just a humble man of the cloth but a visionary leader shaping faith, business, and culture. With his recent accomplishment in Gospel culture, reaching #1 on iTunes and Billboard charts, Dr. Carson is reaching new heights during his 40 years of ministry. In acknowledgment of his ministry efforts, Dr. Carson received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from U.S. President Obama. Governors, Congresspeople, and Mayors have all recognized his heart to minister and serve.
THE MINISTRY
Since founding Praise Tabernacle in Austin on December 5, 1986, Dr. Carson has built one of the most impactful ministries in the country. Starting with just nine members in a house, he became the fastest-growing congregation in Central Texas, reaching over 5,000 members. Then came the call to move—his journey took him from Austin to Houston, by way of Alvin—to be positioned for revival. In Alvin, he received his call to Apostolic Ministry and deepened his understanding of the Kingdom of God in its original Jewish context. Dr. Carson has authored over 260 books, engineered church systems, developed systematic theological constructs on the Kingdom of God, and planted churches on three continents. Today, Dr. Carson’s ministry extends across multiple campuses throughout Houston. These campuses and numerous church plants reflect his mission to reach diverse communities and spread the Gospel. As a means of Kingdom expansion, the ministry acquired 221 acres of land and is preparing for global impact.
Under his leadership, the ministry launched several businesses and community-focused initiatives. Through global crusades, leadership seminars, and transformative outreach, he launched Dana Carson Kingdom Ministries, the Kingdom Leadership Network, IntelliChurch, and the Carson Academy of Kingdom Excellence in Nairobi, Kenya to continue to empower communities and expand the Kingdom worldwide. As part of his innovative approach to community engagement through entrepreneurship, Dr. Carson founded FDS Famous Burgers, Chicago-Style Wings & Soul Food Restaurant and Coffeehouse. But he did not stop there; Dr. Carson also established a culinary school to empower individuals with skill sets and career opportunities. His community development efforts through the Booker T. Washington Empowerment Center include free ESL classes and outreaches that meet the needs of thousands in our local community.
Dr. Carson invests in educational ministry, establishing institutions that educate from the cradle to the grave. He established The R.O.C.K. Early Learning Center and a K–12 institution rooted in Kingdom values and academic excellence. He is the Founder and Chancellor of the Kingdom Bible University and Kingdom Theological Seminary, and in partnership with Southeastern University, offers a variety of accredited degrees online and in person. Through his creation of the Dr. Robert E. Hayes Scholarship Fund, college students receive thousands of dollars to support their educational dreams. After 40 years of ministry, Dr. Carson’s initiatives are a driving force in making a Kingdom difference.
THE MOVEMENT
Dr. Dana Carson stands as a pioneering force in ushering in a global Kingdom Reformation. A trailblazer in Kingdom Theology, he has built an international platform for equipping believers to engage in active faith and transformation of the self and others. Dr. Carson is dedicated to training next-generation leaders in sound doctrine and Kingdom-focused ministry. Through his Kingdom-focused books, he has been positioned as one of our time’s most prolific Kingdom scholars and authors. The machine behind the spread of his Kingdom literature is Kingdom Publishing & Printing, a multifaceted business Carson created that produces books, marketing and promotion materials, apparel, printing services, and more.
As an Apostolic gift seasoned in ministry, Dr. Carson founded the Kingdom Leadership Network, a global alliance designed to mentor, empower, and mobilize Kingdom-minded leaders in various spheres of leadership, organization, coaching, and training.
For 40 years, Dr. Carson has reached millions as a broadcaster, establishing himself as a trusted voice on multiple media platforms, delivering relevant, Bible-based messages that transcend culture and geography. As The Kingdom Voice, his message is amplified further through his three annual Kingdom conferences, which attract leaders, pastors, and believers worldwide for training, spiritual renewal, and vision casting. A featured speaker at Bishop T.D. Jakes’ International Leadership Summit, Dr. Carson made the prophetic announcement concerning the Kingdom of God, springboarding the Body of Christ into Kingdom awareness. Through other global platforms that reach the masses, Dr. Carson continues to drive the Kingdom agenda forward—mobilizing the Body of Christ to advance in power.

The year 2025 marks a milestone season in the life and ministry of Dr. Dana Carson—he’s celebrating 40 years of ministry, 65 years of life, and 25 years of marriage. As we reflect on his 40 years of ministry, he has been a movement of faith, innovation, transformation, and community empowerment. Dr. Carson’s legacy models his unwavering dedication to God’s agenda. He’s leading one of the nation’s most vibrant and powerful revivals, witnessed by the multitudes of youth and young adults coming to Christ each week! Anointed for the times, he is shepherding a new generation into purpose, spiritual maturity, Kingdom identity, and prophetic destiny.
Dr. Carson, still a man on fire for God, is spearheading the revolutionary hub called The Kingdom Wall Street on 221 acres of land—a faith-based economic and cultural center. Through the Perpetuity Construction and Real Estate Company, he will build infrastructure to support initiatives, such as a performing arts school and an autism school. These plans reflect the enduring drive of a man who has not only preached the Kingdom but continues to build it.
