ANGLETON, Texas — Students from high schools across the greater Houston area took to the racetrack at MSR Houston on Saturday, March 29, for an immersive driving experience, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land’s (MBSL) exclusive Teen Driving Program.
Designed to equip new drivers with essential skills, the program provided young motorists with real-world training in a controlled environment, emphasizing safety, confidence, and responsible driving habits.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Houston’s high schools on this important program,” said Derek Brown, Vice President of Marketing at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land. “This experience is designed to enhance their fundamental driving skills and give teens the tools to navigate challenging situations with confidence, which is essential for their safety and the safety of their passengers.”
The hands-on curriculum included exercises such as emergency braking, skid control, and precision maneuvering. The program prepares participants to drive with awareness and efficiency in real-world conditions.
Partnering with local high schools, MBSL has hosted this event for nearly a decade. Each session integrates new techniques and insights from motorsports to enhance the experience.
