No Thriving Together: 2025 National Black Breast Cancer Summit Returns to Houston

Sisters Network® Inc., the nation’s pioneer and leading, Black-led national breast cancer survivorship organization is proud to announce the 2025 National Black Breast Cancer Summit, taking place October 3–5, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency-Galleria, 2626 Sage Rd., Houston, Texas.

The summit is free and open to the public and will convene top medical experts, survivors, advocates, and community leaders to address the breast cancer crisis affecting Black women in the United States. “Black women continue to die at disproportionate rates, and the data hasn’t changed enough,” said Karen E. Jackson, Founder and CEO Sisters Network® Inc. “This Summit is about more than awareness, it’s about action, solutions, and saving lives. We are bringing together the brightest minds and boldest voices to push for real change.”

This year’s Summit is presented with generous support from Novartis, Gilead Oncology, Lilly, AstraZeneca Eisai, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Pfizer, Stemline, A Menarini Group Company, Genentech and HEB.

Sisters Network® Inc. has led the national conversation on Black breast health for over 30 years and continues to champion early detection, health equity, and survivor support through grassroots outreach and national advocacy. Since launching its Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), the organization has awarded over $2 million in financial assistance and mammogram support.

“As a four-time survivor and National advocate, I know the power of community. That’s why creating spaces where Black women feel seen, heard, and supported is not just important, it’s essential,” added Jackson. “Sisterhood is our foundation, and at the National Black Breast Cancer Summit, education, empowerment, and community come alive and transform lives.”

Gospel Artist Evvie McKinney

The Pretty in Pink Luncheon will also be hosted during the Summit on Saturday, October 4, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.celebrating breast cancer survivors with a special live performance by acclaimed gospel artist Evvie McKinney. Known for her chart-topping songs including “Good 2 Me,” a Grammy Consideration for Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. Tickets for the luncheon are $100, with proceeds benefiting the Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program.

Pastor Mia K. Wright

The gathering will close on a spiritual note with the Gospel Brunch and Celebration of Life event on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 9:00 a.m., featuring Dr. Mia K. Wright, Co-Pastor, The Fountain of Praise Church in Houston. Known for her inspiring, faith-centered messages, Wright will uplift attendees and encourage them to continue the fight against breast cancer with strength and hope, followed by a performance by award-winning gospel singers Vernon Jai and Greater.
