Located at 11470 Westheimer Rd., the Fox Trap is a brand-new mega sports lounge that softly opened in August. It brings a unique blend of luxury, style, excellent cuisine, and a premium sports and entertainment experience to Houston’s bar and restaurant scene.
The lounge offers a unique blend of chic, sporty décor and a playful, upscale vibe. The sprawling, state-of-the-art venue features multiple seating options throughout, with a stunning bar, an elegant dining room, luxury VIP spaces, and a premium covered patio, ensuring there’s not a bad seat in the house. Guests can also enjoy a full game room with billiards and ping pong, and a stage featuring live music and entertainment.
The Fox Trap is the brainchild of Houston native Dorwin Samuel, who brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and consulting, along with five years of ownership in the restaurant industry. Samuel’s vision of creating this upscale sports lounge has been brought to life with the help of an exceptional management team that includes General Manager Kellie Drake, a Michigan native and seasoned mixologist and bar consultant with over two decades of experience, and Executive Chef Jimmie Farley, a New Orleans native with 20+ years in culinary arts and over 15 years of commercial kitchen management experience.
“My goal was to create something truly next-level,” says Samuel. “We’ve combined the excitement of a sports bar with the elegance of an ultra-lounge, offering a unique space where guests can enjoy every game in a luxurious setting with exceptional food and amazing hospitality. We’re confident that Houstonians are going to love what we’ve created here.”
Chef Farley has crafted a menu at the Fox Trap that takes guests on a culinary adventure, blending American classics with a New Orleans twist and elevated takes on sports lounge favorites. Diners can enjoy starters like Foxy Flatbreads, Boudin Egg Rolls, and an assortment of delicious Sliders with unique protein options including Chicken, Shrimp, Lamb, Salmon, Catfish, and Turkey. Entrees include standout signature dishes like Shrimp and Crab Alfredo, Spicy Jambalaya, and Foxy Cedar Plank Salmon, available in Asian-style glazed with Hennessy and garlic butter rice, or Cajun-style with a creamy white wine sauce over garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert, Farley’s scratch-made New Orleans-style beignets are a must-try!
