5K for Father’s Day Giveaway with Majic 102.1 honors five local fathers with $1,000 each
On the heels of Mostyn Law’s third annual 5K for Mother’s Day giveaway in May, Mostyn Law and 1800 TRUCKWRECK have once again gifted five Houston area fathers with $1,000 checks. During a month-long registration period, over 500 local fathers were nominated by Majic 102 listeners for consideration by a review panel.
“Dads can get a bad rap because moms do so much, but most dads fill a special place in our lives”, observes Amber Mostyn, co-founder of Mostyn Law.

“So, for the third year running, we’re excited to spotlight dynamite dads in Houston who are dedicated to their families. Our list of fabulous fathers this year is another great testament to the those who are working to make our communities stronger and safer for everybody.”
On Tuesday (June 13), Amber Mostyn joined Majic 102 midday host Kandi Eastman in her studio to personally deliver the good news to the five winners. The winners each received a call, recorded to be shared later with Majic 102 listeners, and each deserving dad picked up his $1,000 check in person at the Mostyn Law offices.
Mostyn, a widowed mother of two, considers these connections to the community an essential part of her firm’s outreach. “Speaking with these fathers, and hearing the stories their families shared with us, fills me with gratitude for parents everywhere. Children need love and guidance from the adults in their lives, so these stories give us hope for our future.”
