McDonald’s brought Zonnique to Houston for a surprise meet & greet at Texas Southern University on Thursday. A group of fifty students were treated to lunch, and caught by surprise when R&B star Zonnique arrived for photos and fun!

On Thursday, July 19, McDonald’s celebrated McDelivery Day by giving away free items from their Throwback Collection—a 90s-inspired collection of pins, socks, t-shirts, PopSockets and bandanas—to customers who ordered McDelivery through UberEats.

In Houston, TX, McDonald’s also celebrated with a special group of 50 students from the Texas Southern University Summer of Success program, where they brought R&B artist Zonnique for a surprise meet and greet.

Demetria Johnson-Weeks, Executive Director, Title III and Sponsored Programs at TSU and local McDonald’s owner/operator Angela Majors greeted the room before Zonnique arrived to surprise the students. The event included lunch from McDonald’s and a chance to meet and take photos with the pop culture icon. Before heading back to Atlanta, Zonnique gifted one lucky person with the full McDelivery Day Throwback Collection.
