HOUSTON — Please join us in congratulating Keith “MR. D-MARS” Davis, Sr. as he received the Richard Nelson Media Partner Award at the 2024 Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC) Annual Conference.
The Richard Nelson Award – named in honor of the first Black newspaper publisher in Texas – recognizes the significant role the Black Press plays both in keeping our communities informed and in support of the critical work Black chambers do every day.
At the conference, business leaders, government agencies and chamber members from across the state and nation convened to develop action plans and solutions to address issues faced by our state’s over 350,000 Black-owned businesses.
Not only did guests hear from successful business owners, elected officials, and industry leaders, it was an opportunity for guests to add their voices to the collective, expand their network, and be strengthened by their peers in their journey toward success.
Session topics included access to capital, scaling your business, certification, technology, legislative policies, and so much more.
