Houston Sickle Cell Curative & Modifying Therapies Summit & Health Fair

June 15 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Houston is home to the largest medical center in the nation. Despite this, individuals living with or affected by sickle cell in our community still face numerous challenges, including access to care. Furthermore, recent advancements in sickle cell research have sparked hope for potential cures, but questions remain about their accessibility and affordability for patients and caregivers.

The primary goal of the Houston Sickle Cell Curative & Modifying Therapies Summit & Health Fair is to empower Houston’s sickle cell community by providing education and resources on the latest treatments, potential cures, and clinical trials. By having this event in observance of World Sickle Cell Day (June 19), program coordinators aim to raise awareness and foster dialogue about the unique challenges faced by those living with sickle cell disease.
