HOUSTON — Do your children love the arts?

The Ensemble Theatre’s theatre arts training program — the Young Performers Program (also known as YPP)  Summer Sessions — is offering top-quality training in the areas of theatre, dance, vocal performance, music theory and technology this year.

Active since the late 1980s, YPP has developed some of the leading talent in the arts and entertainment industry, including Jason Dirden (best known for his role on the series ‘Greenleaf’), Dominique Perry (best known for her roles on the series ‘Insecure’ and ‘Rap Sh!t’), and many more. Alumni from YPP have gone on to perform for Disney, on Broadway, in Hollywood and have toured across the world.

This summer, YPP is expanding into STEAM, as The Ensemble Theatre incorporates technical training in theatre to its curriculum.

As one of the most affordable summer programs in the City of Houston, YPP provides a platform to grow local talent into their full potential, all the while keeping everyday fun, interactive, educational and exciting.

YPP is for children ages 6-17 and operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Registration for The Ensemble Theatre’s Young Performers Program is now open for first and second sessions of summer 2024. For more information, visit https://ensemblehouston.com/education/young-performers.
