HOUSTON — The North Harris County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is inviting the public to come discover the treasure of health, wealth and social awareness this weekend.
On Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the chapter is hosting a “Treasure Your Health” Total Wellness and Community Funfest at Fallbrook Church located at 12512 Walters Rd., Houston, Texas 77014.
The free event will include giveaways, healthy snacks, a DJ, games and more activities.
Special services that are being provided at the event include:
- Free health screenings
- Blood drive donations
- Fire safety demo
- Dementia awareness
- Financial planning information, and
- Voter registration assistance

The North Harris County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered in 2006 in the Blazing Southwest Region. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. The founders of Delta Sigma Theta envisioned an organization committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and addressing the social issues of the time. Since its founding, Delta Sigma Theta has become one of the preeminent service-based sororities, with more than 300,000 initiated members and over 1,000 chartered chapters worldwide.
