HOUSTON — Are you someone who was affected by Thursday’s storms?
Houston eatery Comfort Foodies is offering home-cooked meals for under $10 on Friday, May 17, from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., to help those who are without power or have been displaced or affected by yesterday’s storm.
“We know many people are without power today and we want to do something to help the community,” said Elsa Matthews, co-owner of Comfort Foodies. “At a minimum, offering home-cooked meals at a special price today will help provide a little comfort to those affected by that terrible storm.”
Comfort Foodies will offer customers who stop by the restaurant Friday their choice of meals from a special menu. Guests can choose from the following scratch-made meal options:
- Fried Wing Entree (Two whole wings plus two sides)
- Smothered Pork Chops (Smothered pork chops, rice and gravy, plus two sides)
- Dominican Brown Stew Chicken (Brown stew chicken, white rice, plus two sides)
