In an incredible show of support and appreciation, people from every corner of the world have donated nearly $400,000 to honor Burger King employee Kevin Ford’s milestone achievement of 27 years of perfect attendance. The inspirational story of one man’s hard work and dedication has gone viral and touched the hearts of many.

Ford, 54, has been a longtime employee of the Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport, per Today. Despite the clip going viral, it lacked views in honoring his diligence. However, things have made a turning point in his favor.

The original video showed Ford getting a goody-bag containing candy, a lanyard, movie ticket, two pens, a Starbucks cup and keychains.  What appeared to show a level of gratitude, apparently wasn’t the “justice” others wanted for million-plus seen clip.

Many others thought that the consistent worker should’ve received a better gift than what was given. As a result, Ford’s daughter, Seryna, campaigned on his behalf through a GoFundMe describing her father as “a single father when he gained custody of me and my older sister 27 years ago.”

He took the job to not only care for his children but also because the company had a rewarding health insurance program. This would pave the way for Ford’s four daughters to be put through high school and college.

Not only did her efforts pay off but the intended reach of $400K saw a quick rise of $200K. However, Seryna welcomed the donations but insisted it had a personal meaning.

Apparently, with Ford nearing retirement, his daughter mentioned his love to spend more time with his grandchildren.

She later detailed with her father nearing retirement; the longtime-Burger King worker had an interest in spending more time with his grandchildren.

He eventually caught the attention of the producers on the Today show who reunited him with his daughter and three grandchildren. His daughter said,

“My dad deserves the world. He gave me the world,” Ford’s daughter said during the touching segment. “My dad made me the person I am today.”

Ford said he’ll be using the money accumulated in support of his grandchildren. He made another appearance on Today as one of the show’s “Can’t Miss People of 2022.”

“When I’m in a store now and there’s people, especially single mothers or something, I tell them to ring up everybody. I pay for everybody’s food,” he said, according to Today. “Every day that I wake up, I’m excited … about spreading the love and showing people that that human spirit is still alive and well, and that I’m proof of it.”

Ford has since then remained a consistent employee at Burger King missing no shifts and being able to spend time with his grandchildren.
