30th Annual Toys for Kids – Congresswoman Erica Lee Carter Serving As Honorary Host

The “30^th Annual Toys for Kids” event will be held Saturday, Dec. 14^th at the George R. Brown Convention Center – Exhibit Hall E. 🧸 🎄 ✨

The “Ordinary Towards Extraordinary Foundation” (OTEF) will host its “30th Annual Toys for Kids” event for needy families within the historic 18th congressional district. This year’s honorary host, Congresswoman Erica Lee Carter, will be in attendance along with other special guests and local entertainment, including J Xavier, Sheldon Band Performing Arts Choir, Eaglets Cheerleading Dance Team, Royal Artistry Dance Team, Candy Kids, 2Xclusive Performance Arts, Taichi 24 Style and others.

The event will be emceed by popular local personalities Kia Kennard and K-Dog. As usual, it will be well attended with over 4,000 children and youth who will enjoy a fun-filled & joyous event along with their families.

This popular annual holiday community event was initiated 30 years ago by the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee who was always committed to serving the needs of
her constituents and saw the need to help families with providing toys and other gifts during the holiday season.

Toys and gifts will be distributed to over 3,500 children/youth who live within the historic 18^th Congressional District. Community leaders, elected officials and other special guests will be in attendance.
