HOUSTON — The Second Annual Empire State Jazz Festival returns to scenic Discovery Green in downtown Houston this Saturday, May 11 with an impressive lineup of renowned jazz artists from across the nation.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Discovery Green, Saturday’s Annual Jazz Festival presents a full day of soulful, live jazz music featuring performances from Billboard and Grammy-nominated smooth jazz artists:
- 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Stephen Richard & Kyle Turner
- 1:15 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Jelando Johnson & The Movement
- 2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.: The Pat Williams Group
- 3:25 p.m. – 4:25 p.m.: Dean James
- 4:40 p.m. – 5:40 p m : Phillip Doc Martin
- 5:55 p.m. – 7:25 p.m.: Dee Lucas & Blake Aaron
- 7:40 p.m. – 8:40 p.m.: Greg Manning
- 8:55 p.m. – 9:55 p.m.: Jazmin Ghent
The exclusive annual jazz fest will also feature an array of vendors, refreshments and Caribbean, Creole and soul cuisine from Nyammings Fusion Bistro.
Curated by Victor Allotey, an NFL veteran and the founder of Houston’s Empire State Jazz Café and Festival, the family-friendly event not only celebrates the allure of jazz in the open air but also supports the next generation of artists. A portion of all proceeds from Saturday’s event will be donated to Victor’s Victors Foundation to provide musical instruments to inner-city kids in need.

VIP tickets are available, offering exclusive access to the VIP Area, seating, food, beverages, and four complimentary cocktails for $150. Additionally, VIP 4-Pack ticket packages are also available for purchase. Gates open at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
