Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Announces Winners of 2025 Agriculture Robotics Contest

HOUSTON — Every year, RodeoHouston provides full-blown celebrations of tradition, culture, and community!

RodeoHouston officials crank up the excitement with special days that salute service members, shine a spotlight on cultural heritage, and create unforgettable memories for families. So grab your boots and join the fun!

OPENING DAY – TUESDAY MARCH 4

OPENING DAY

Opening Day, presented by Shell Federal Credit Union, kicks off with giveaways, activities, and non-stop fun—Houston style.

ARMED FORCES APPRECIATION DAY –  MARCH 5

ARMED FORCES APPRECIATION DAY

Armed Forces Appreciation Day, presented by Crown Royal, honors the brave men and women of the U.S. military. Guests are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to show support.

BLACK HERITAGE DAY –  MARCH 7

BLACK HERITAGE DAY

Black Heritage Day, presented by Kroger, celebrates the contributions of the Black Cowboy to Western heritage with exhibitors, school performances and entertainment throughout the day. 

Day-long festivities include live entertainment on the Junction Stage, presented by Woodside from Houston’s finest bands, choirs, dance teams, and fine arts groups; special entertainment at the Champion Wine Garden, presented by Frost Bank and in The Hideout; and historical and educational displays around the grounds of NRG Park. 

FIRST RESPONDERS DAY –  MARCH 10

FIRST RESPONDERS DAY

First Responders Day, presented by BP, salutes the brave law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and emergency service agencies of the Houston area. Check out the qualifications for free admission here.

COMMUNITY DAY –  MARCH 12

COMMUNITY DAY

Community Day, presented by TC Energy, provides additional discounts and value for guests coming to NRG Park on the middle Wednesday of rodeo. All guests will enjoy free admission to the park until noon.

Volunteer Appreciation Day, presented by Phillips 66, turns the spotlight on its unsung heroes. Volunteer Appreciation Day was created to say “thank you” to the individuals who dedicate their time and talents to the rodeo every year. 

GO TEJANO DAY –  MARCH 16

GO TEJANO DAY

For Go Tejano Day, presented by Fiesta, festivities include live entertainment on the Junction Stage, presented by Woodside Energy and in the Champion Wine Garden, presented by Frost, and the Mariachi invitational Semifinals in the The Hideout. Enjoy Fiesta Charra in the NRG Center main Arena, a colorful exhibition of traditional Mexican folk dance, music and horseback riding.
