HOUSTON — Did you know that on average, Black men die more than seven years earlier than do U.S. women of all races, and Black men die younger than all other groups of men, except Native Americans?
100 Black Men Metropolitan Houston Chapter (BMOH) is collaborating with the African American Coalition on Health again for the 100 Black Men Metropolitan Houston’s Black Vitamin event on Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m.
The event will be held at the Third Ward Multi-Purpose Center located at 3611 Ennis St., Houston, Texas 77004.
This signature event has been held for more than 20 years. The event, which was created by BMOH, helps bring awareness to health disparities often found among African American males of underserved communities.
Event attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in free take-home cancer screenings during and after the educational portion of the event.
Medical staff will be on-site to answer questions. Lunch will be provided to all event attendees who participate in screenings.
This event is open to all residents from all zip codes as well as surrounding areas.
