Houston native and singer MAJOR.

Last night’s The Next Level Houston Pre-Super Bowl Concert at the HESS Club was filled with inspiration, empowerment, and immeasurable talent.  The atmosphere was lively and vivacious, with MAJOR., a Houston native, multi-faceted and dynamic artist, who performed “Why I Love You,” his debut single that is topping the charts and touching the hearts of millions.

MAJOR. was charismatic and engaging, compelling the audience to rise to their feet to sing and dance.  He was encouraging the audience to embrace love and declared, “We will be alright!”  MAJOR. exhorted us expressing, “It’s not what you’ve been given; it is what you do with what’s been given.” As he closed the concert, he shared a thought-provoking quote, “It’s not the love you deserve, but the love you are required to be.” MAJOR. has definitely impacted the world in a “major” way.

mesmerizing as she hosted the event, which was dedicated to shining the spotlight and creating a stage for local artists such as Erica Wiley, a prolific,

sweet-spirited songwriter.  Wiley sang “Better,” which she wrote, to share that through God, we have the strength we need to be better people.  Shonnie Murrell, the passionate percussionist who did her unique rendition of Sheila E’s “The Glamourous Life,” shared “Grambling State University groomed me and taught me how to master the drums.” Shonnie believes in creating her own stage and collaborating with other artists. Currently travelling and training students on drums in Title I schools, Shonnie encourages others to “Go for your dreams – you will get knocked down but get back up and keep going.”

Tony Henry, singer

Also on The Next Level Houston stage last night was Tony Henry.  Henry left the audience absolutely speechless!  His magnetic, smooth, and soulful voice, coupled with his guitar, powerfully gave life to the ladies with his single, “Sweet Tooth,” (on iTunes) celebrating the beauty of women. Tony, who trained himself to play the guitar, credits becoming spiritually-grounded for helping him to overcome fear and be confident in expressing his talent.

All of last night’s artists were beacons of light and inspiration with immeasurable potential for even greater success. The Next Level Houston is comprised of a creative collaborative connection of four nationally-recognized music industry dynamos; Tamar Davis (Syren Music Group), Pat Williams (The Pat Williams Group), Greta Williams (The Williams Group), and Chris ‘DJ Cruize Control’ Williams (BPM Music Group). With live monthly entertainment events, The Next Level Houston is poised to invigorate, illuminate, and incite the live entertainment scene in Houston.
